Prof. Dr. Thomas Rau M.D. studied medicine at the University of Bern, the main medical school in Switzerland. He chose to start his career in rheumatology, internal and general medicine. He worked as a conventional doctor from 1981 to 1992 and at the same time as medical director in a Swiss Clinic of Rheumatology and rehabilitation medicine, treating patients with various degenerative diseases.
