How can you overcome stress? What can you do when you feel "burnout"?
Here are two questions that appear (unfortunately) more and more frequently in the context of "modern" life, characterized by speed and information bombardment.
Before exploring possible answers to these two questions, I would dare to reformulate the questions in the sense of: how do you not have stress (even in challenging circumstances)? How / What do you do to get out of burnout?
By simplifying things, the answer to these two last questions (related to the field of prevention) is only one: temperance or right consideration. And one of the tools that can support such a context is "contracting" or in other words "negotiating" the conditions in which you are asked / proposing to do certain actions. Why do not people do this on a regular basis? It is another discussion, which is related to the way they think about "refusing" someone or about the alleged unwanted consequences of a possible refusal.
Turning to the first two questions, I propose to take one:
The state of stress / restlessness is related to the fear of alleged undesirable consequences of certain actions / situations / circumstances. This means it is caused by a certain way of thinking about reality.
The answer / solution I am proposing (tested so far on thousands of people) is the connection to reality. That is, the "objective" description of the circumstances / facts which are part of the situation in question. Getting out of the trap of "illusion" and connecting to reality is difficult to do by yourself. The best and most effective is through a specialist in the field.
The state of exhaustion is in turn caused by the assumption of an exaggerated / disorganized number of activities (in relation to personal psycho-motor skills), motivated either by the desire to "prove" something to someone (including ones) or by the fear of not "upset" someone (with associated unwanted consequences).
The short-term / crash solution is to "stop" for a certain period of time any activities similar to those before, until how much psycho-motor capacity is restored. Concurrently with this stop, medical or paramedical approaches can be made to support / speed up the recovery process.
The long-term solution is first and foremost to change the way of thinking, your own beliefs about self-perception or others / others around. And as it is usually difficult for someone to become aware of them by themselves, specialized support is needed.
