When the body feels these wounds, it enters the repair mode. This is the same idea that microneedling uses to get anti-aging results - except that acupuncture is less intense (traumatic). In addition, by inserting the needles in specific acupuncture points, the circulation of energy to the face is promoted, this leading to increased relaxation and better nourishment of the skin with blood and micronutrients.
