Indications:

Dexamethasone is an injectable solution indicated in severe diseases, in which oral therapy with corticosteroids is not possible:

- in the accumulation of liquid in the brain due to a brain tumor;

- in shock (for example, due to severe bleeding that leads to a decrease in the amount of blood in the body's tissues);

- in the treatment of inflammatory diseases at the level of joints and soft tissues (such as rheumatoid arthritis);

- in the treatment of severe allergic reactions.

Dexamethasone injectable solution can be administered as an intravenous infusion, whereby the dexamethasone injectable solution, diluted with other infusion solutions (sodium chloride solution, glucose solution or Ringer's solution), is administered continuously with the help of a perfusor.

Administration method:

Depending on the patient's needs, the body receives directly in the blood, in a high concentration, the valuable substances it needs.

Absorption is complete in the body, and the effect appears after 12-24 hours after administration, although the effect can be felt even immediately after administration.

The medicine will be administered intravenously (injection into a vein), intramuscular (injection into the muscle) or directly into the joint or into the soft tissues.
