SIGNIFICANCE
We encounter pain almost every day. Conventional medicine defines pain as an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience that is linked to actual or potential tissue damage. Pain has a very important warning function and it´s purpose is to protect the body from harmful or dangerous influences. A distinction is drawn between acute and chronic pain. Pain is a subjective sensation, that can be experienced very differently by each individual. It does not necessarily have physical causes. Chronic pain, for instance, is a separate condition and has lost it´s warning function. Emotional distress can also lead to physical pain (psychosomatic pain). Mental health plays an important role in the individual perception of pain: grief or depression can increase susceptibility to pain, while positive feelings can reduce it.

The VEGETMED is a frequency generator with integrated Tesla coil technology that enables the treatment of both acute and chronic pain. This form of pain treatment is called TENS = transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation. INTEGRATED TESLA COIL
The Tesla coil technology built into the VEGETMED causes the electricity flowing from the device to be transformed and to thus work in a more targeted way. The included programmes, as well as the medically prescribed frequency programmes, are precisely coordinated with this technology and offer advantages in the treatment.
HOW IT WORKS
Depending on the type of pain, areas of tissue at different depths need to be stimulated.. The diameter of the nerve fibres, responsible for pain transmission, varies in the individual layers. As a result, they react differently to frequencies. High frequencies and low intensities are used for acute pain. This stimulates large nerve fibres which lie closer to the skin surface . The aim is to stop acute pain, without creating a more long-lasting effect. For chronic pain, low frequencies and high intensities are used. This stimulates the deepest tissue levels and causes muscle contractions which lead to the release of neurotransmitters (dopamine, serotonin, endorphins, etc.), ensuring a sustained decrease of the subjective sensation of pain.
